During this year's roller skiing world championships in Val di Fiemme, Italy, Karoline Grøtting delivered an impressive performance and took home two silver medals.
First roller skiing medals in the WC
Her best individual performance came in the demanding distance exercise of 15 kilometers. Even after a small accident, she managed to get back to the top. In the sprint, she had to see herself beaten by the Swedish veteran Linn Sömskar. After the race, Karoline was delighted to secure the silver, this was also her first ever medal in the roller skiing WC.
Karoline's second silver came in the team sprint together with teammate Victoria Nitteberg. Both went tactically well and only the Swedish team finished ahead of them.
In addition to the two silvers, Karoline also took a solid 6th place up the monster hill Alpe Cermis on the WC's last day.
We in Sone 4 congratulate Karoline on her fantastic efforts and look forward to the continuation.
